We're Recruiting!
We're looking to add talented people to our scouting staff here at K1. We give you the guidance, resources, and freedom to do your best work as a hockey scout.

K1 provides its scouting staff with the resources and freedom to most effectively evaluate players.
K1's scouting staff is structured to mimic the form and function of an NHL club's scouting department. Whether it's on our amateur scouting staff helping build out a draft list or on our professional scouting team that scours the ranks of pro hockey across the world, K1 is built to maximize the talents of its scouts.
As part of the K1 Team, you'll be responsible for scouting players from a specific region of the world. An amateur scout based out of Nebraska, for example, might be responsible for the NCAA Nebraska-Omaha, as well as USHL Tri-City, Lincoln, and Omaha. A professional scout based out of Syracuse, to give another example, might be responsible for the AHL's North Division.
Our scouting staff also features a scouting leadership team, as well as designated crossover scouts.
K1 is assembling a scouting team full of talent evaluators from all walks of life.
Traditional hockey scouting has long prioritized a narrow pathway: most scouts are former high-level players, and that singular experience is often seen as the only valid lens through which to evaluate talent. But in most other industries, talent evaluation is recognized as complex and uncertain - something that requires multiple viewpoints to guard against bias and blind spots.
At K1, we’re challenging the orthodoxy. We believe that because scouting is an inexact science, it demands a broader range of inputs. We're building a team of intelligent, passionate, hockey-minded individuals from all walks of life (including, but not exclusively former players) because predicting the future of a prospect is too difficult to rely on one background alone.
By diversifying who gets to scout, we believe we can achieve stronger, more insightful results.
K1 Scouting is a new, independent scouting bureau looking to add to a team of talented hockey scouts.
Our core organizational philosophy centers around leaving no stone unturned in the search for the world's best hockey players. Central to that pursuit is building a diverse team of scouts willing to buy into that organizational philosophy and lend their expertise to the wider K1 operation.
